A UAE comprehensive policy normally covers third party liability plus accidental damage to your own vehicle. Fire and theft are commonly included, and several other benefits are offered as options rather than as standard.
In more detail
Items frequently offered as options or higher-tier benefits include agency repair, roadside assistance, a replacement vehicle, personal accident cover for the driver and passengers, off-road cover for 4x4 use, and an extension of cover into Oman.
The exclusions matter as much as the cover. Driving without a valid licence, use of the vehicle for a purpose not declared, racing or track use, and damage caused deliberately are excluded across the market.
Conditions and exceptions
- There is no single national comprehensive wording; two policies with the same name can differ materially.
- Natural-event damage, including flooding, is not universally included — confirm it in writing.
